Amira Goes to Comic-Con 2011

Korra was fucking awesome!!!! HOMG!!! I am still shaking. And the Aang statue prompted tears and sobbing.

Lots of Feelings-bending.

I have really good pics I will post when I either get home or get a decent wi-fi at the hotel.

Okay folks! Today started out with putting cosplay makeup on friend. Then lined up for the Korra signing. I’m sure you’ve seen the picture floating around. Yes that is it and it is epic. And we got a shirt too with Korra on it.

Then it was off to the fan panel and that was so fun. The cosplayers were awesome and so were the panelists. Kevin Coppa showed off the new Korra puppet he made and Dee Bradley Baker gave us some Appa sounds. Isaia and BooterFreak showed off work past/present. The VA for Jun was there are well. Very cool! Awesome!

Now we are literally sitting in the hall for The Korra Panel.

I am sorry folks, I had a bit of a snag here - missing phone!!!! I am so heart broken! But let’s hope it is returned and someone is a honest person!!

Hello my dears! I am having fun at comic-con. Sorry for the lack of posting but Internet and phone services here in the con center kind of suck and I am not paying $15 a day for wi-fi at the hotel.

But I hope you guys liked seeing the Korra print! I am so excited to bring that home!

2:30-3:30 The Character of Music with BMI and White Bear PR— Composer and executive producer teams discuss the dynamics of music in film and television. Dan Licht and Sara Colleton (Dexter), Jeremy Zuckerman, Benjamin Wynn, and Bryan Konietzko, Michael Dante DiMartino (Avatar the Last Airbender), and Noah Sorota and Mark Verheiden (Falling Skies) discuss their working relationship, how music plays a character in their stories, and the intense process of scoring their projects. Moderated by BMI’s director of film & TV Relations Anne Cecere. Attendees will get a sneak peek into their work and receive fun giveaways. Room 6A

ATLA Fanbook Meet-up - at 8:30pm in the Lobby Bar at the Marriott (adjacent to the convention center, join fans as they create fanworks and have fun.

11:00-12:00 Avatar: The Last Airbender Fan Gathering— Enjoy the company of fellow fans and discuss the original series, upcoming Dark Horse comics, and the future Legend of Korra. Moderator Avatar_Mom chats with MC Victor Sgroi (Cabbage Merchant), Michael Kirkpatrick (Props), Kevin Coppa (Puppetbenders), fan artist Kim Miranda (Isaia), writer John O’Bryan (Avatar the Last Airbender), and storyboard artist Ian B.
